DAY 1: Arrival in Kathmandu – B
Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be greeted by a Manram Voyages representative who will assist with your transfer to your hotel. The bustling capital city of Nepal offers a mix of rich culture and modern amenities. Warm welcome and check-in at the hotel. Our representative will meet in the evening to discuss the trip in detail.

Day 2: Drive from Kathmandu to Dhap Dada- B.L.D
After breakfast, start the journey by driving in a jeep to Dhap Dada. The trip takes around eight hours through a diverse landscape of hilly terrain and picturesque rural scenery. Passing terraced fields cascading down hillsides, dense forests, and charming villages, offering glimpses of local life. Upon reaching Dhap Dada, a scenic village perched on a ridge, greeted with spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. This tranquil setting provides a perfect and picturesque start trekking adventure, allows to relax and enjoy the beauty of the landscape before beginning the trek.

DAY 3: Trek from Dhap Dada to Jhapre – B.L.D
After breakfast, start the trek from Dhap Dada to Jhapre. The trail starts with a descent through lush forests, providing a peaceful and shaded path as makes its way down. Continuing, the route gradually ascends through terraced farmland, where traditional agricultural practices and scenic views of cultivated fields. Jhapre is a small and traditional village nestled in the hills. It offers stunning vistas of the Himalayas, making it an ideal location for acclimatization. The village’s serene atmosphere and breathtaking mountain views provide a perfect backdrop for relaxation and preparation before continuing the trek.

DAY 4: Trek from Jhapre to Pikey Base Camp – B.L.D
After breakfast start the trek from Jhapre and steadily ascend towards Pikey Base Camp, the route begins with a gentle climb through dense rhododendrons and oak forests, offering a lush and shaded trail. As we get closer to Pikey Base Camp, the path opens to reveal expansive mountain views. Renowned for its breathtaking panoramas, Pikey Base Camp provides clear views of seven of the world’s fourteen highest peaks, known as the ‘eight-thousanders,’ each rising more than 8,000 meters (26,247 feet) above sea level. This dramatic backdrop makes Pikey Base Camp a celebrated viewpoint in the Himalayas, offering a serene and awe-inspiring setting to appreciate the grandeur of the high mountains.

DAY 5: Summit Pikey Peak and Descend to Junbesi – B.L.D
An early morning hike takes to the summit of Pikey Peak and enjoy a spectacular sunrise that illuminates the Himalayas in golden hues. The summit offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding peaks and valleys. After taking in the majestic scenery and capturing some memorable photos, trek back down towards Junbesi. The descent winds through traditional Sherpa villages and lush landscapes, offering a glimpse into local life. Junbesi, a historic village where Tibetans first settled after crossing the Himalayas, is home to Nepal’s first Sherpa monastery, built in 1635. The day ends in this charming village, exploring its cultural sites and relaxing after a rewarding day of hiking.

DAY 6: Trek from Junbesi to Thuptenchholing Gumba and Back – B.L.D
After breakfast, hike to Thupten Chholing Monastery, a major Tibetan Buddhist site outside Tibet that was once the largest monastery in Nepal, housing around 900 monks and nuns and serving as a resettlement camp for Tibetans fleeing Chinese occupation. At the monastery explore its grand prayer hall, participate in traditional prayers, and engage in meditation. After your visit, return to Junbesi, the first Sherpa village in Nepal, which holds significant cultural importance and is revered as a sacred place revealed by Guru Rinpoche. Known as the “Moon Valley” in Buddhist texts, Junbesi is believed to be where the moon descended to kiss the earth. Spend the evening relaxing and reflecting on the day’s experiences in this culturally rich and spiritually significant village.

DAY 7: Trek from Junbesi to Phaplu / Salleri- B.L.D
The route to Phaplu/Salleri covers diverse terrain, including lush forests, terraced fields, and charming small villages. The trek starts with traversing shaded forests, admiring the scenic beauty of cultivated fields, and observing the local way of life in the villages. Phaplu/Salleri, being a larger town compared to previous stops, serves as a convenient point to conclude the trekking journey. It offers a glimpse into daily life, with vibrant local markets and regional cuisine, blending the tranquility of the mountains with the energy of a larger settlement for a fitting end to the trek.

DAY 8: Drive Back to Kathmandu – B.L.D
After breakfast, drive back to Kathmandu, enjoying scenic views as the landscape transitions from mountainous terrain to the hustle and bustle of the city. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, check into a hotel and relax.

DAY 9: Sightseeing in Kathmandu – B
After breakfast, visit Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple) on a hill west of Kathmandu for panoramic city views and see the monkeys and shrines. Next, explore Kathmandu Durbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with palaces, temples, and the Kumari Ghar (home of the living goddess). Despite earthquake damage, it remains a key cultural landmark. End with a rickshaw ride through the spice market to Thamel for lunch and shopping.
In the evening, visit Boudhanath Stupa, one of the most important pilgrimage sites for Buddhists. Tibetan Buddhists start and end their day with a circumambulation of the stupa, a sort of daily pilgrimage. The stupa comes alive in the evening with butter lamps lit all around.
Enjoy a farewell dinner at a rooftop restaurant overlooking Boudhanath Stupa.

DAY 10: Final Departure – B
Today is the final day. After breakfast based on your flight time, the Manram representative will transfer you to the international airport for your onward flight.
