The Annapurna Circuit Trek is one of Nepal’s most iconic and classic trekking routes, renowned for its stunning landscapes, diverse cultures, and challenging high-altitude terrain. In addition to its natural wonders, the Annapurna Circuit provides an immersive cultural experience passing through traditional ethnic villages, including the Gurung, Magar, and Thakali communities. The trek involves significant elevation gains, culminating in the Thorong La Pass at 5,416 m/17,769 ft, one of the highest trekking passes globally. Scenic Variety: The trek takes you through a diverse range of landscapes, from lush, subtropical forests and terraced fields to alpine meadows, arid deserts, and high mountain passes. You’ll witness some of the world’s most dramatic scenery.
Cultural Exploration: The trail passes through a variety of traditional villages inhabited by different ethnic groups, including Gurungs, Manangis, Thakalis, and Tibetans. This provides an opportunity to immerse yourself in the local cultures, traditions, and lifestyles.
Thorong La Pass: The highlight of the trek is the challenging Thorong La Pass, which stands at an altitude of (5,416 meters /17,769 feet). Crossing this pass is a significant achievement and offers spectacular panoramic views of the surrounding peaks.
Natural Wonders: Along the route, you can visit natural wonders like the sacred lake of Tilicho, the Kali Gandaki Gorge (the world’s deepest), and the surreal desert-like landscape of the Mustang region.
Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Range: The trek provides stunning vistas of several towering peaks, including Annapurna I (8,091 meters/ 26545 feet), Dhaulagiri (8,167 meters / 26794 feet), Machapuchare (Fishtail Mountain), and Nilgiri.
Teahouse Accommodation: The Annapurna Circuit Trek offers relatively comfortable lodging options in teahouses and lodges along the route, which means don’t need to carry a heavy camping load.

DAY 1: Arrival in Kathmandu.
Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be greeted by a Manram Voyages representative who will assist with your transfer to your hotel. The bustling capital city of Nepal offers a mix of rich culture and modern amenities. Warm welcome and check-in at the hotel. Our representative will meet in the evening to discuss the trip in detail.

DAY 2: Drive from Kathmandu to Besisahar and Chame – B.L.D
After breakfast at the hotel, the drive from Kathmandu to Chame begins with a scenic drive to Besisahar in a jeep, as you leave the city, the landscape shifts from urban chaos to serene countryside, featuring terraced fields, lush valleys, and roaring rivers., following winding roads and offers captivating views of rural Nepal. From Besisahar, the road becomes rugged, leading up to Chame, the district headquarters of Manang. This part of the drive introduces the mountainous terrain and the towering peaks of the Annapurna range, providing a glimpse of the diverse landscapes and challenges that lie ahead on the trek.

DAY 3: Trek from Chame to Upper Pisang – B.L.D
After breakfast, the trek begins from Chame, crossing suspension bridges and traversing beautiful pine forests. The trail ascends gradually, offering stunning views of Annapurna II and Pisang Peak. As the terrain becomes more rugged and the air crisper, arriving at Upper Pisang, a charming village renowned for its traditional architecture and breathtaking mountain vistas. Experience the first night in the mountains, soaking in the serene beauty and preparing for the adventure ahead.

DAY 4: Trek from Upper Pisang to Manang – B.L.D
Today’s trek is a visual treat as a higher route that offers panoramic views of the Annapurna range. The trail passes through the picturesque village of Ghyaru, with the rewarded with breathtaking mountain vistas. The path then descends into the Manang Valley, a wide, arid area surrounded by towering peaks. Upon reaching Manang, a significant stop on the Annapurna Circuit. Explore the village, visit local monasteries, and soak in the mountain culture.

DAY 5: Acclimatization Day at Manang – B.L.D
After breakfast, to help the body adjust to the altitude, spend a day acclimatizing in Manang. This is crucial for preventing altitude sickness from climbing higher in the days ahead. Take a short hike around the area, such as visiting the turquoise Gangapurna Lake or the ancient Bhojo Gompa. Rest and enjoy the serene beauty of Manang, a chance to interact with locals and learn about their way of life.

DAY 6: Trek from Manang to Tilicho Base Camp – B.L.D
After breakfast leave Manang and start the trek towards Tilicho Base Camp. The trail begins with a steep climb, followed by a series of undulating paths through the Marsyangdi Valley. Continuing the trek notice the changing landscape, with the greenery gradually giving way to a more barren, high-altitude environment. The views of the surrounding peaks and glaciers are nothing short of spectacular. Upon reaching Tilicho Base Camp, settle in for the night, surrounded by the rugged beauty of the mountains.

DAY 7: Trek from Tilicho Base Camp to Tilicho Lake to Shrekharka – B.L.D
This day is both challenging and rewarding trekking to Tilicho Lake, one of the highest lakes in the world. The journey begins early, with a steep ascent that requires careful navigation. The trail is demanding, with rocky terrain and high altitude making the trek more strenuous. However, the sight of Tilicho Lake, surrounded by towering peaks, is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. After spending time at the lake, descend to Shrekharka, and rest for the night, reflecting on the day’s achievements.

DAY 8: Trek from Shrekharka to Thorong Phedi – B.L.D
After the previous day’s exertions, today’s trek is relatively easier. The trail leads to Thorong Phedi, the last stop before crossing the Thorong La pass. Though the path is less steep, the altitude can still make the journey challenging. As we approach Thorong Phedi and notice the landscape becoming increasingly desolate, a stark reminder of the high-altitude environment. This small settlement is a hub for trekkers preparing to cross the pass, providing a place to rest and gather strength for the next day’s trek.

DAY 9: Trek from Thorong Phedi to Muktinath via Thorong La Pass – B.L.D
This is the most challenging day of the trek, after breakfast cross the Thorong La Pass, the highest point on the Annapurna Circuit. The day begins early, with a steep and arduous climb in the pre-dawn hours. The ascent is demanding, but the views from the top are unforgettable, with a panorama of snow-capped peaks stretching as far as the eye can see. After reaching the pass, begin a long descent to Muktinath, a sacred pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Buddhists, leaving you with a deep sense of accomplishment as you reach Muktinath.

DAY 10: Trek from Muktinath to Jomsom – B.L.D
After breakfast, the trek from Muktinath to Jomsom is mostly downhill. The path takes through the Kali Gandaki Gorge, one of the deepest gorges in the world, surrounded by arid landscapes and dramatic rock formations. Passing through small villages and ancient monasteries, with the Nilgiri and Dhaulagiri peaks towering in the background. Jomsom, a lively town, marks the end of the trek. Rest and enjoy the comforts of a lodge/teahouse, reflecting on the incredible journey.

DAY 11: Fly from Jomsom to Pokhara – B
After days of trekking, take a short, scenic flight from Jomsom to Pokhara after breakfast in the lodge. The flight offers breathtaking views of the mountains and valleys. Once in Pokhara, a stark contrast to the rugged environment of the trek, the city is known for its tranquil lakes, lush greenery, and modern amenities. Spend the day relaxing by the lake, exploring the city’s attractions, or simply enjoying the laid-back atmosphere.

DAY 12: Drive/Fly from Pokhara to Kathmandu – B
After breakfast, there is an option between a short domestic scenic flight or a drive back to Kathmandu. If you take the flight, you will arrive in Kathmandu more quickly, giving extra time to explore the city upon arrival. Once in Kathmandu, check-in at the hotel and take a moment to refresh and relax. With the remainder of the day at your disposal.
In the evening visit Patan Durbar Square. A UNESCO World Heritage site, Patan Durbar Square is a marvel of Newari architecture and arts. The Patan Museum, located within one of the old residential courts of the Royal Family, houses some of the most important religious, historical, and sacred arts of Nepal. Explore this ancient marketplace, a center for trade between Tibet, Nepal, and India, and visit traditional craftsmen and their studios and shop for souvenirs

DAY 13: Sightseeing in Kathmandu – B
After breakfast, visit Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple) on a hill west of Kathmandu for panoramic city views and see the monkeys and shrines. Next, explore Kathmandu Durbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with palaces, temples, and the Kumari Ghar (home of the living goddess). Despite earthquake damage, it remains a key cultural landmark. End with a rickshaw ride through the spice market to Thamel for lunch and shopping.
In the evening, visit Boudhanath Stupa, one of the most important pilgrimage sites for Buddhists. Tibetan Buddhists start and end their day with a circumambulation of the stupa, a sort of daily pilgrimage. The stupa comes alive in the evening with butter lamps lit all around.
Enjoy a farewell dinner at a rooftop restaurant overlooking Boudhanath Stupa.

DAY 14: Final Departure – B
Today is the final day. After breakfast based on your flight time, the Manram representative will transfer you to the international airport for your onward flight.
